HIV and Harm Reduction

Aim

This training aims to increase workers' understanding and knowledge of key issues related HIV, with a particular emphasis on risks associated with drug use and sexual health.

Learning Outcomes

By attending this training, participants will be able to:

  1. Recall transmission routes and prevention strategies for HIV.
  2. Describe the different testing methods and treatment options available.
  3. Have an awareness of the ongoing HIV outbreak affecting people who use drugs in Scotland.

Pre-Course activities will be sent out 1-2 weeks before the course (this will involve a couple of activities taking no more than 15 minutes to complete).

This session will start at 09:30am (attend from 9:15am for a 09:30am start) and will finish by 1pm.
