Working as a Partner in Inverclyde Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC)
Overview
The Scottish Government expects that each Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP) will establish and support a local Recovery Orientated System of Care. This includes services commissioned by the ADP, as well as a range of other services providing support roles during the recovery process. A ROSC is a system of services, supports and other resources in a community which provides for the range and stages of need people may have during the process of recovery from problems related to substance use.
Aim
This learning and development opportunity is targeted at practitioners whose role involves supporting people directly and indirectly affected by alcohol and other drug use.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the session, participants should be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of ROSC concept, good practice principles and be able to discuss how this supports recovery.
- Explain the local ROSC and appraise its strengths and weaknesses.
- Examine their own role and concurrent responsibilities within the ROSC.
- Access current strengths and weaknesses of the functioning of the local ROSC in the light of their role and develop an action matrix.
